WAYS OF CONTROLLING YOUR ANGER

WAYS OF CONTROLLING YOUR ANGER

Many people have landed themselves in trouble because they could not control their anger.

Anger is a natural emotion but if you don’t tame it, like fire, it can consume you and cost you a lot. If you find anger getting the better of you then you should definitely read this. The good thing about anger is that it is not instantaneous. You usually feel it rising so you can manage it.

1. Take A Walk:
When you feel anger is triggered, you will need to vent so a walk can help it dissipate because you are letting out pent up energy.

2. Count:
One way of suppressing anger is by seeking ways to relax and counting can do it for you. To be more effective, you could count backward. In this way, you take your mind off the matter and before long, your heart rate slows down and your temper is under control.

3. Take Some Time:
When you are angry, you will most likely wish to respond immediately and if you do, you may regret what you say. Therefore, if someone has angered you (and it is not face-to-face), give yourself some hours before responding so you can do so with a clearer head.

4. Practice:
If you went with the option above to wait it out, then you will need to decide beforehand what you will say. If you have to write down your talking points to avoid an outburst, then do so.

5. Talk It Out:
You need to get it out in some way. So rather than vent at the person, call up a friend to just rant. You will feel better.

6. Find Something Funny:
At times, humour can make the worst situations better. Therefore, just find something funny in the matter and laugh about it. You will feel better.

The point is that anger, when unchecked, can be very dangerous. Take this write-up seriously.

  1. It is so wonderful and it's good for someone to know him/her self well and control it well.
Well done my dear for educating us.
